Hello Not being a computer programmer or such I wonder why this keeps being such a hard thing to develop. The Lageos project has been doing this for 30 years. I first visited a Lageos site in Huahine, French Polynesia in 1986 and they had no problem tracking the satellite with ancient software and an alt-az mount. http://www.drdale.com/temp/lageosscope.jpg I doubt the software is secret or proprietary but for some reason, perhaps economical it is somehow a lot tougher than it seems. Does anyone know what software Lageos uses now? Dale _______________________________________________ Seesat-l mailing list http://mailman.satobs.org/mailman/listinfo/seesat-l
