Did this object decay as predicted, with a visible track over the US East coast? There have been numerous reports of a decay-like fireball and trail on Baltimore, MD radio stations around 6AM local time (1000 UTC). None of the reports that I heard had any specifics as to direction, accurate time, etc. I was driving home at the time but wasn't looking in the right direction... :-( Monroe Harden Maryland, USA > -----Original Message----- > From: Harro Zimmer [mailto:Harro.Zimmer@t-online.de] > Sent: Thursday, September 06, 2001 5:45 AM > To: SeeSat-L@blackadder.lmsal.com > Subject: Decay Alert Update > > > Report time: 09:15 UTC > > 1975-076B (#08128) Cosmos 756 RB > > SPACECOM'S 2 HOURS BEFORE DECAY message - prepared Sept 06, > 07:24 UTC - shows > the decay on 06 September, 09:52 UTC +/- 03 hours > (29.0°N, 286.1°E) > on a northbound pass over the Atlantic. > > MPM+REENTRY delivers with the ELSETs 01249.040... - > 01249.233... the decay on > 06 September, 10:00 UTC +/- 17 minutes > (61.95°N. 296.01°E) > on the same pass N of Labrador. > There is at this time a small possibility for a low elevation > pass over > the New York area around 09:52 UTC +/- 01 minutes. > > Harro > > Harro.Zimmer@t-online.de > Berlin, Germany > > > ----------------------------------------------------------------- > Unsubscribe from SeeSat-L by sending a message with 'unsubscribe' > in the SUBJECT to SeeSat-L-request@lists.satellite.eu.org > http://www2.satellite.eu.org/sat/seesat/seesatindex.html > ----------------------------------------------------------------- Unsubscribe from SeeSat-L by sending a message with 'unsubscribe' in the SUBJECT to SeeSat-L-request@lists.satellite.eu.org http://www2.satellite.eu.org/sat/seesat/seesatindex.html
