Tony, Congratulations! May I know your location? I have been trying to observe SS3 since 10/2 with no luck. Maybe it's the cloud cover or the moon. BTW, I'm at 10:22N 123:58E. I'm also using Heavens-Above. I'll keep trying, wish me luck. regards, Sigurd 10/5 -----Original Message----- From: Tony Beresford [mailto:aberesford@iprimus.com.au] Sent: Thursday, October 04, 2001 7:43 PM To: Seesat-L@satobs.org Subject: Starshine 3 observed One flash observed from starshine 3, in a N-S pass low in west at 10:40UT October 4. Magnitude +1.5 + or - 0.5, strobe like, as expected. No other flashes seen looking further along track for more than 40 seconds. Using 7x50 binoculars because of bright moonlight and looking over 10Km of suburban lights. Used Heavens-above predictions.
