School busses are mass-produced and have a life of constant and daily wear and tear, with little maintenance compared to usage. Space Shuttles are individually built and undergo extremely detailed and careful maintenance between their missions, plus major overhauls and system improvements every couple of missions, all being done by highly qualified personel and under the close scrutiny of a horde of quality inspectors. Shuttles spend by far most of their life in workshops being treated like raw eggs. CU!
