I wonder if records of sonic boom arrival times (via seismographs, etc.) could be used to provide an "independent" record of Columbia's true course. I believe that when NASA says that Columbia was "on course", they are relying on information (possibly suspect) that originated on board Columbia. I sent my own, admittedly poor, observation to NASA. Did anyone else note the time of arrival of the sonic boom?
