    Frequent idea over in sci.space.shuttle whenever the topic of Challenger
    wreckage getting washed ashore arises. Usually gets shot down by really
    knowledgable folks on that matter with many good reasons. Googling for this
    ought to bring up many nice posts telling that this isn't going to happen
    and why. My recollection is that US law is fairly strict in that regard,
    but I don't know the details.
