I saw it last night from very near the house of some friends near the BCRC site. Here's a preliminary report: Fleetsatcom 1 Rk (78-16C, 12908) on November 30, 2005 UTC: start, 1:06:10, then -- 7.60, 7.75, 7.79, 7.69, 7.86, 7.71, 7.82 -- end 1:07:04 As of the latest elements I could get about 19:00 UTC, there's another pass predicted for about 1:00-1:02 UTC this evening (and another deep in shadow one orbit later, extremely low in our WSW to SSW). Below are the last two evenings' clicks on Telstar 401 (93-077A, 22927). I didn't have binoculars and saw only the flashes listed. Both evenings the first one seemed to be the brightest, and the last two were considerably fainter than the other four. 2005 November 29 UTC; Univ. of Texas at Austin campus 1:23:32 1:25:07 1:26:41 1:28:16 1:29:50 1:31:25 2005 November 30 UTC; friends' house near BCRC 1:15:19 1:16:53 1:18:27 1:20:02 1:21:36 1:23:11 So tonight maybe these six brightest flashes will begin about 1:07:00 UTC (7:07 PM local time). I'll be back on the campus of the Univ. of Texas at Austin.
