Solar array configurations

    Hi Bill and list,

Pictorally, there are 2 main configurations for solar arrays.
The Hubble-like configuration:

* *  SSS  * *
* *--S S--* *
* *  SSS  * *
* *       * *
***       ***

and the type used on Superbird A and indeed most GEO birds:

**************  SSS  **************
*            *--S S--*            *
**************  SSS  **************

Perhaps we could simply call these "H"-type and "I"-type solar
arrays.   --Rob
